My favorite Fall/Winter outerwear is a plaid coat. The pattern itself can take a drab outfit and make it pop with its pattern. Now I do love a good teddy coat, trench coat, or puffer coat but the versatility of a plaid coat, makes it a winner in my book.
With a plaid coat, you can wear it dressed up with a skirt or dress; or you can dress it down with jeans. I have honestly worn my plaid coat in both casual and formal ways. When I went to the opera one month ago, I wore my plaid coat over my dress as it was cold outside. I have also worn my plaid coat to run errands or shopping.
I love the different color pairings of a plaid coat. Colors like green and blue, yellow and green to a black and white plaid like I am wearing in the picture. The coat I am wearing in the picture above, I purchased from Nordstrom Rack, one of my favorite stores. And the deal was so good that when I went to include it in this blog post, it was sold out. Here today, gone tomorrow. But do not fret, I’ve rounded up my other must have plaid coats along with a coat that is similar to the one I am wearing in the picture.
